And 4 hours later.........still waiting.....she's gone from green/yellow to green/white.

It will be interesting to see what color she is by morning light. Definitely yellow with a pink caste to both flowers that have opened. This is 3 hours after the last image posted.

That is a lovely photo. So many beauties out there this year.

Something along the lines of "a wolf in sheep's clothing" comes to mind.

I think this is some other beauty, who has been masquerading as a 'Janet Reno' cutting. This went from green/yellow bud, to green/white bud, to just opened yellow flower with a pink blush, to what you see now. She's closed up here at mid-day in the heat, but there is no hiding the fact that it is very pink.

So who wants to guess what I really have? :-)

Could it be Isabella:

Here's one that was sold to me as a Frosty Pink, but its not...I just call it Pink Suaveolens for lack of a name. There are so many Frosty look alikes :)

Thanks Gretchen.......she's still closed up from the heat, but will try to get another image later on this evening. It is much "pinker" than my 'Frosty Pink'.

Isabella and my "pink suave" are much darker -- almost red during the day. That's why I wondered... Wish I could be more helpful :)

It also looks like my Rose Suaveolens. For the life of me I can't remember where mine came from, but I've grown it for several years. I thought I got rid of all of my cuttings and found one growing in the garden this summer.

Here she is after a couple of days of heat.....definitely not JR, but a very pretty one with salmony pink and lots of white on her.

She is very pretty even if she is a serendipity.

Crestview, FL(Zone 7b)

Happenstance.. although JR does get a tinge of pink in the cooler months.. she doesn't get that pink... yikes!! Here is the Momma plant of all the Janet Reno's....
