Supposed to be Big Yellow???

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

It looks awfully orange to me. Does anyone know what it is? I either got the cutting in the mail or at the GA RU.
Pardon the lines in the photo; I dropped spousal unit's digital camera on a bathroom ceramic tile floor......eek!

Wow... very beautiful.

So Hibiscus, is that Big Yellow even though it looks awfully orange?

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

woodspirit, you can search Kell's posts for Big Yella! They are beautiful and turn a dark orange sometimes. I think it's realy pretty!

Here is one of them http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/441084/

Yes, mine is Big Yella. It is yellow , then each day gets darker to orange.
It is a beautiful brug, almost in constant bloom. Really nice shape, long tendrils. It is a "keeper".

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

thanks so much to all of you. I already have a neighbor lurking for cuttings, lol

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

very beautiful WS

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes, that is Big Yella. I thought it sounded better than Big Orange. LOL!

No, it starts yellow and sometimes stays yellow. At times it gets a deep, deep orange and the skirt puffs up into big pillows. The best part of this brug is that it grows so fast and so huge. It suckers alley trees fast and easy. And they are so tall.

I hope you like it Grace! Kind of cool it has made it all over! Earthling, are you waiting on those cutting from me?

LOL, Kell..yes, I am, but you said it would be when ever....

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I had not thought of separating the suckers to make alle trees, but I will in the future.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

So many times, "suckers" make altogther different brugs........like Brugies'
Whiskers(I believe it was) that was white, not yellow when it bloomed.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I loved the smell on Big Yella!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee Gloria, I did not know that. I have 3 of its suckers in my front now. They are huge. Actually 4. i will have to watch carefully.

Earthling, just in case I did not save your email in my to send folder pls send me another with what I promised and your address so when the mood strikes it will be there. You will have to root them. I have given up doing that. LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gloria is right. Two suckers from my Whiskers were white.
