plagues of ???

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

We are having the strangest plague of beasties the last couple of weeks. Any day that it has not been raining or so cool no bug life flies, there have been cloulds of tiny little aphids of all things. Nite before last they were so thick the side of my white van was pale green. They fly into your eyes, up your nostrils and, if you are brave enough to speak, straight down your throat. They don't seem to be doing a great deal of damage to the plants; a few but nothing like you would expect from their numbers.

Have any of you ever experienced any thing like this? It appears to be occuring over a pretty large area - twenty miles or more that I know of.

Now you have totally grossed me out Lynn. When do you start bringing your plants inside? You don't want hitchhikers.

Sounds disgusting. Are you sure they're green aphids because they will suck the juice out of your plants.

I've seen it before......but not this year so far.

So far the only plants that seem to have received any damage were ones that were not so robust; the spiders have been gorging. Their nets are loaded every morning with scores of little black bodies. Critters they are unable to eat I guess cause their tummies are too full.

I am currently preparing my arsenal for the fall season Liz. Maybe the government will make me register my weapons LOL

Oh no! Lynn, are my taxes going to go up again?
