Hi Margie,
I hope that your DH is all right :) Wow! That is an awesome edge, that Datura has :D Is sowing in rockwool in your experience any different from sowing in potting mix?

Beautiful picture, Margie! I'll wait until next year to beg for a cutting.... VBG

Thanks Tracy...actually this one is a datura and reproduces from seeds... I should get plenty of them from the blossoms I have...you are welcome to some!

Tonny...my experience with RW has been very limited, so it is hard to say. The summer squash that I planted in it did very well. I have not found it to be exceptional like some of the members have reported...I will have to try some more & let you know then. For right now I would have to say I prefer soil over the RW.

Margie -- your dat is beautiful!

Tonny: Last winter I used Rockwool and soil-less seed starting mixture. I am sold on the Rockwool and given the choice, would not use anything else. In fact I have some special seeds that I want to start, but won't until my RW order arrives. I EXPERIENCED NO DAMPING OFF, AND NO FUNGUS GNATS WITH THE RW. I am totally sold...Gretchen

PS I started brugmansia, datura, tomatoes, and an assortment of perennials in the RW.
