For the first time in 15 years, there are fleas on the dogs and naturally, in the yard. I have no experience dealing with this in the yard. Obviously, the dogs all get flea bathed this weekend, and I'll treat the carpet, but what do I do about the yard? These things could be anywhere on the acre. What is best and cheapest to treat the yard?
I am a bit paranoid, becuase there is a case of bubonic plague in the next county (a human!) and they say it is transmitted by fleas from rodents, usually prarie dogs or rats. Apparently cats that are let outdoors are killing the field mice and rats, and contracting the disease. Not sure how the person got it, but I'd rather not find out. .
Suggestions?
