My daughter has wanted a hamster forever and we finally got one (long hair) day before yesterday and now it has wet tail. The pet store says bring it back and exchange. Websites say take it to the vet because it is serious sickness. Henrietta actually found that on the net and so now she is convinced that if we take it back to petsmart, they will kill it.
Does anyone know about this wet tail disease? She is heart broken and says that if we take it back she doesn't want another one.
