Talk about spurs...........

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This is a new seedling this year. It hasn't decided to get dark yet, but the spurs, or as most of us call them, tendrils.........are something else. This poor thing is in the west seedling bed that got a direct hit today with 50-60 mph winds and she still kept her shape.

Fantastic! We are also having 21 mph winds, tearing the blooms up, that I have waited sooo long to see. Sigh.....guess it is not to be.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm sorry to hear that. I did check my potted brugs and they all have lots of little buds coming, so I'll see a lot of bloom yet unless we have more storms.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Wow! Very impressive. Have you measured?

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Can we see more pictures, that looks lovely.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I took this one early this morning. It is very foggy here and so wet.............I could wring water out of anything I touched. She is just a bit darker this morning.

Nice - is the peachy one in the background on a different plant?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

It sure is. After two big storms eight days apart, my seedling beds are all pretty twisted and unsightly. I believe the one you are talking about is a Big Yella cross.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Brugie, that is a beautiful pink. I love to see them with the longer tendrils that look like a star. Donna

Chariton, IA(Zone 5a)

Shriley, you did it again - love it. I have a dumb question - If it is a seedling does that mean that it doesn't have a name yet? Linda

Another beauty.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

That's right Linda.

Deltona, FL(Zone 9a)

Brugie, wonderful bloom..I really like the tendrils. So delicate.I'd watch that one If I were you. cinnabor

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

Very pretty! On my screen it almost looks to have a lavender tinge to it.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Absolutely to die for, it is so pretty that you KNOW it has to be real because NO ONE could ever make one that looks that perfect and beautiful...I LOVE the sweet color and the tendrils, how does it smell??

Cassopolis, MI(Zone 5a)

brugie I can't think of anybody that deserves to have something that special, other than you with what the weather has put you through the last few weeks.

I love the color of that one and the tendrils are amazing.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks everyone. I'll have to stick my nose in her tonight and get a whiff. I did find one in the garden in the last couple of days that had no fragrance. I was surprised. It was a seedling also.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It is very pretty! I like it.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Shirley, Incredible!!!! Color me green with envy.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks everyone. She did get a little darker and I'm going to keep her and see what she will do next year.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Oh so pretty and got to love those tendrils. I definitely would keep her until next year and see what she does. It sure is going be hard for you to make your selections as keepers this year.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

She's a beauty! LOVE those tendrils! Glad you're going to keep her :)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)
