help naming this ginger

Many gingers go dormant every fall, and look like they died, but they come back in the spring.

My best bet is costus subsessilis. Dwarf South American species. Short stem with 4 or 5 large fuzzy leaves. Large yellow summer to fall blooms. Medium shade is best. Perennial 10" tall. Also called bunny ears costus.
Very cute variety. Just got mine this year, I heard it wasn't hardy in zone 8b. I may try to split it and try a piece in the ground, protected, since yours came back in 9a.
Hope this is the right one.
