Stormy is now on crate rest for a while

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

She was limping Friday so I kept an eye on her to see if she would get over it. Then this morning I thought I had better just take her in and see what was going on.
It appears on the x-rays that she has a itsy bitsy hairline fracture. The vet isn't all that sure since it is so thin of a line and the other hip nearly matches with the markings. At least it is not something like a ball and socket injury. So she is under orders for bedrest for a while so she can heal. She is also taking pain killers as it seems to be quite painful for her to get up from a resting position.
The Vet said all three vets at the clinic looked over the x-rays to see if there was anything there at all. I had to look real closely also and her bones look like cat bones they are so small in diameter. She is really a fragile looking dog in the bone department but tough as an ox when she plays.
I felt so sorry for her I brought her into bed with me this morning cause she was whimpering. She is healing well on the ringworm meds and the vet gave her three more weeks of meds for that. A total of $195 and then Friday I have to take Taffy in for the surgery on his thyroid. Boy these animals are sure better off than they were when I was growing up. My Mom would probably have a fit if she were still alive and knew how much I spend on my babies.
She is taking Demarex I think it is called right now with a super dose for three days and then down to a regular dose. She is feeling no pain right now. LOL
