I'm so jealous! I have a virtual smorgasbord here for hummers and yet don't get to enjoy the actual birds. From what I've been told, there are some hummer species here, but not like in the U.S. where there are about 50bazillion different ones. I've yet to see a single hummer in this country (even though as I said, I was told there definitely are some) and I've been here 8 years!!!!!! Would any of you be willing to box up and ship me over a whole family of hummers so I could start a colony here? ROTFLMAO Wouldn't customs love that! LOL

Waaaahhhhhhh I want hummers here too!
They would probably explode the box at the airport because of the angry buzzing coming from inside! I live in Michigan and I can't get any either. I planted everything the book said to plant. My mother planted a $5 feeder and she has lots! Next year, feeder seeds.
Remember hosta. At least here they seem to like them alot, they will go to the hosta as fast if not faster than they go to the feeders. And look my first hummingbird photo, not a great one, I was lucky enough to have camera in hand for some garden pics when I saw this out of my front door so this was taken thru the window and the screen, plus I was in a hurry so I wouldnt miss him. I tried to get another one but my DS walked up to the door and scared him away, LOL I dont know who was more disapointed.
