Iron Burn

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I know you all like seeing pictures,I do.Well when you see mine,I show my prime Brugs, but as anyone that grows them knows,we all have our ups and downs.
Here are some before pics, they show some of mine, that had been babied, and were looking great. I did have a few yellow leafs,so I thought I would give them a shot of Iron.
I got Ironite at HD,6/1/1 hose end sprayer, should have been enough to cover the whole yard,so as I started spraying,I could not help but notice that the bottle was emptying at too fast a pace,1 or 2 Min's,lucky for me,I only hit a few plants.
Anyway, here are the only pics I can find of them before the 'mishap'

We had company, and I like to keep the kids busy while we visit,so I give them a hose, and let them have at it.
This is my Grand Niece helping out. this is date 8/7

Wow, they did bounce back, they look great too! Will you be bringing them in for the winter doc? They are huge and so healthy ! I used to live in Oklahoma and I know how cold it can get up there, I was in the northeast corner of OK...that's why I asked and I saw they were in the ground. Are they in pots in the ground.?

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

No,I plant right in the ground,I will trim back and pot them in a month, then bring in before frost.

Glad they came back so nicely for you. cinnabor

Wow! That was lucky that you noticed it when you did, but I guess it really didn't matter since they survived so nicely! They all look gorgeous, Root!

G,I was flushing with water heavy, after I picked up leaves.

They look better than ever. I guess that's the way we have to learn. IMO, the need for iron is overrated; however, chelated iron seems to work better, OR, without the burn or other damage. Root, you did exactly what I have done over the years, too much of a good thing - I do not know what possesses me, but, it's like I'm driven, then there is hell to pay...it surely worked out nicely for you!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Looking good! And you are sure right about ups and downs! I have put too much rose systemic with fertilizer and my L'Amour and RK both dropped all their leaves. I thought they were goners. The one good thing I notice is that at the leaf nodes they put out branches not just new leaves, which was just great!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

That was nice of you to let the kids help!! Im sorry that the leaves got burned, but am glad they look so great now, and you have wonderful pics to show now.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Wow! They bounced back! Now I believe they are very forgiving plants! lol.. I see that you planted them few feet away from eachothers.. how many feet between two brugs?

Great pictures from before and after. :o)
