My Charlie Brown Brug

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

After the storms the other day, I picked all the stalks of Becca Lynn up and put them in my fertilizer barrel. I stripped most of the big leaves off and look at what she is doing today. Cute little blooms. I didn't think there was a chance that the buds would open as wilted as she is.

The blooms are pretty - I guess you can see them better with the leaves off the stalks. Amazing how resiliant some of our plants can be.

Gosh, Shirley, that is sweet and, I suppose, what makes me love brugs more than ever - if there any any chance to survive, they will go for it!!!!

Hey, it's bloom. I don't care, just as long as I get to smell them and see what they are supposed to look like. Next year will be better.

Wow Shirley, very pretty blooms! That's one tough brug!!! I bet she will be a beauty next year for you.

That is really something, bless her heart.

Sounds as if your summer is turning out to be like our last two. This year, everything is blooming, ones I have never seen before. Worth the wait!

Wish I could say that Gloria. Last year we had the heat and this year the cold and wind. I'll just take what I can get and move on to another year.
