Hello from Limestone, TN

Hi to everyone here at Dave's. My name is Sandi and I live in Tennessee. I moved here 4 years ago from Houston...love having seasons, lol. We (my poor hen-pecked hubby and my two teens) bought a new house in Feb. of this year. I have never been a gardener...I killed every houseplant that I tried to grow, but this house seems to have changed all that. Just about every day there is a new surprise. First came the daffodils...they were everywhere! Every kind imaginable...even doubles. Then the big bush by my front porch bloomed and I discovered that I had Lilac. Since then I've found that I have apple trees, quince trees, irises, day lilies, naked ladies and morning glories. Oh...and big white peonies...I sure am glad I looked them up before I killed all of the ants on them. Now I'm hooked and spend more time at the nursery than the hubby feels comfy with, lol.
I am so grateful that I found this place...it has more info than the entire www combined. And the people here are wonderful!

Hi Sandi. Welcome to Daves. Sounds like you have a yard full of some great stuff. Hope to see you around the forums a lot now. Daves is a great place to meet people, get/share information and to trade plants and seeds.

Welcome to Dave's, Sandi, - fear not. I too kill every houseplant that comes under my care (even geraniums) but outdoors is another story. Things grow for me really well mostly.

The people here are the best on the web and you can always find good advice.
You're doing the right thing letting things show you what and where they are. Next year you can add all kinds of things, and next thing you know you're an addict. Of both gardening, and Dave's. ~Blooms

Sandi...welcome!! You should think about attending the KY Roundup the last week end of Sept. Go to the Round Up forum and look it up...it's just over the line from TN...up the road a peice from Nashville. Jo

If Daisy isn't a snake...bring her on!! There will be lots of pets...or is daisy a cow? Now that would be something!! OH! MAybe Daisy is one of the children, in which case they are VERY welcome.......now go to the Round Up Pictures forum and see some of the pictures of all the attendeees...2 legged and 4 legged. Lol! Daisy's not quite as big as a cow...yet. She's my baby and goes everywhere but work with me as she hates for us to be seperated. I don't much like it, either. She's my 6 month old merle great dane.
