I don't have a lot of plants yet in my yard/wannabe garden but, for me its Salvia greggi, firebush, lantana and esperanza, in that order.

I got the Monrvia Salvia called Navajo "Rose" very nice. Check out their site, they have great info , a lot about hardiness and the otherside of the coin too much heat.

Hamelia Patens, All Blue, Purple, and Red Salvias, red cypress vine, and Powder Puff tree are the most favored in my yard

Monterey,
It is close to my feeder. How much do they charge for that feeder?

$9.98 it has 6 places to sit. It is wide and the auto-focus works better in low light so it's easier to lock in on them.

Great pics, but, OK, we have one of those feeders from Lowe's, too, and our hummers seem to ignore it in favor of the glass tube type. Or the flowers--hibiscus, verbena, etc. I am wondering if you have to keep the nectar filled all the way up to the rim so that the birds beaks can reach it....any thoughts?...Thanks a million.

tabasco,
I don't fill mine all the way up. They stick their beaks in and lap it up with thier tounge. They can lick all the way to the bottom. I don't get that many birds so the smaller feeders work best for me as I'm not wasting much.

this guy finally found out it is better to sit, not all the time, so I have both.

This is after the big fight! I could't get them to stop messing with each other till almost dark. They spend about 10 to 30 sec. at the feeder, but not when they are looking over their shoulder for an attack!

This is my Dropmore Scarlet ( Lonicera brownii) it's in a new bloom cycle. I time this and my Goldflame Honeysuckle to bloom within 2 weeks of each other that gives the guys more flowers.
