Alohahoya2000, I would like to trade you something for some seed. I had three bulbs but they rotted. I have been trying to make a trade with someone but I don`t think they have the plants right now. Please let me know what you may be looking for.

I have seedlings......to trade for??? These are growing in 4 inch containers, they're small, but healthy! It's been quite hot here, but they've been doing fine growing in a hot greenhouse........Debra~

How long did your seeds take to germinate RedSunDance?

Kentwood, LA(Zone 8b)

Debra, I am still interested in making a trade.

Kirbyville, TX(Zone 8b)

It takes my seeds anywhere from 4-6 weeks to germinate...sometimes I get lucky and even sooner~as long as they aren't planted too deep~ Now I put the seeds on the soiless seed mixture, and add a very fine layer of peat. They seem to have a much better germination rate, as long as the tacca seeds are fresh~ Debra~

Kirbyville, TX(Zone 8b)

Email me privately if you're wanting to trade...thanks! Debra~

I lost my last attempt on seeds...and then was sold by someone successful that laying them on top of the soil and not covering them, keeping them damp in not bright light works. I would be willing to send the whole ripe pod to anyone for trade or SASE.

Oh @#$%! The company I bought them from said to sow an inch deep. I dug some up so maybe it's not too late. Thanks for the tip.

Kirbyville, TX(Zone 8b)

Are you kidding!!??? an inch deep???There are very few seeds that need to be planted an inch deep...with the exception on palms, cycads, tree, and such...but seeds as small as the Tacca?? to be planted that deep....wonder what they were thinking??
Carol don't give up on that seed pod! Trust me you can start these Tacca from seed.........Debra~
