Goldtraum X Pink Beauty #3

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Well here's to hoping that the 3rd one's a charm. She should open up tonight, and maybe tomorrow we'll see some color ... hoping ...

#1 and #2 were both white.

Looks good so far Gretchen! When you white ones opened, were they yellow at this stage also?

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Thank you, Shelly! I had to go back and really look at the pix again, and I don't think they were quite this yellow. More of a green that later turned white. They've all had a pretty shape, but no color. Maybe this one will :)

Boy Gretchen, you have had a time with those whites and yellows this year, haven't you? I guess they are all very pretty and we take our chances when we grow seeds, but too bad someone didn't slip in a few more pinks for you.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Well who knows Shirley, maybe one of them will turn out like Carissa and be pink next year? I still have 3 VA X EP, and 3 PB X EP that have not bloomed, so I'm hoping... Of course the latter haven't even y'd yet, so I guess it'll be next year before I know. I hope your day is blessed! Gretchen

Well shoot!! I was hoping for ya Gretchen!

Oh well, back to the "drawing board" LOL! Thanks, Shelly :)

I know just how you feel.........

I understand how you feel Gretchen. My first L'Amour x Rothkirch seedling is a yellow white and has a terrible shape to it. I was so disappointed.

I know how you feel Gretchen, the one I have of Susies that is blooming,I had to wait till the second year to see it bloom.Got lucky and got some color, the one from Bruno to two seasons for a white,I am glad we all keep trying, and I still like to see every one.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Thanks you all! This one is a pretty shape, so maybe next year it'll have some color. I can at least hope, huh?

Gretchen, I'm NUTZ for whites and do not have a single one! I think you are a lucky girl, but I wish you had gotten the brug of your dreams!!!!!!! It will happen!!!

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Gretchen, my compost is full of whites. Just something we all have to go through. Good Luck!!!!! and Keep trying.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Well Sherry, grow some seeds! You're bound to end up with some pretty whites!!! I'd share these with you if I could, but since they're not named, that's not possible... :(

Barbara: No need to worry there! I've already started one new batch of seeds and have some that will be started on October 1st. One of these days I'll hopefully be rewarded with a pink! I did end up with two beautiful yellows though, so I can't complain :)

Thanks, Gretchen, I have seven seedlings, but it doesn't look like they will bloom this year. I do have a CDW in the ground and I think it's white...with all the pretty pinks and several that have buds, but haven't bloomed, I don't mind waiting a little longer for white...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sherry, grow seeds.........you are bound to get a white to two from them. LOL!
