Becca Lynn in the alley

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Becca Lynn is the first plant in the allee. A day after the picture was made, she was unrooted by a storm.

That is just beautiful, Monika! How tall is that lamppost, just so I can guage size here?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Thank you GW! The lamppost is 2,30m tall.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Hmmm, 2.3 meters equals about 7.5 feet. Okay, that helps. I had to go Google and look that up. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=mozclient&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=convert+2.3+meters+to+feet

The US educational system tried switching us all to the metric system when I was a child in gradeschool, but it never caught on. We went back to what was familiar. Is that why I'm so bad at math? Early math trauma, LOL. Metric seems like it would be so much easier.

She looks great!! I hope she recovers from the storm,I learned my lesson last year, now I walk around snapping lots of pictures, you never know when Mother Nature is going to bite you right in the garden,

what a gorgeous setting for Becca Lynn..

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Monika I always enjoy your alley pics! Becca Lynn sure is pretty and I'm so sorry about your storm. You have the magic touch.....I bet she'll be beautiful again soon.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Becca Lynn must be weak because she is the only one that was broken off at the soil line here during the storm. I had others that had damage, but she is gone. She sure is a pretty one though. I did get to see three blooms before she broke.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Wow, I wish I was there walking through your gardens. Everything is so pretty.. I hope she recovers for you very quickly!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Wow! I also hope she recovers for you! What a spot to have her! Right where she belongs.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It was good, that the storm unrooted her. The whole shrub was laying on the hostas and has lost a few flowers but no branches. We've set her up straight again and she looks now like nothing had happened to her.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I was going to ask you if you had to cut her back to let the roots catch back up. She is beautiful. Do you pick off all the dead flowers and yellow leaves?

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Wow, Monika. I love your alley. It's beautiful. So sorry about Becca Lynn.

Horn, Netherlands(Zone 8b)

How wonderfull Monika. That must be a heavenly experience if you take stroll in the evening in your alley. Do you leave them outside during winters because they've grown so tall ??
Danke schon !

Syracuse, NY

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

What a beautiful picture. You have created a real paradise around you!! Love Becca Lynn.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

The fragrance is heavenlym saya. I cannot leave the brugs outside during the winter. I have to dig them out every fall. They overwinter in a frost free Greenhouse. My growing season is very short, not longer than appr. 3 1/2 months.

Beaconsfield, QC(Zone 5b)

...all I can say is, "WOW!!!!!!"......I WANT YOUR ALLEE!!!! ....how beautiful in deed...

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Monika -- she and all your brugs are just lovely! I'm happy to hear that she sustained no serious damage in her uprooting! Gretchen
