Thanks, Barbara! I had never seen it that way (UK) before...Gretchen

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Pretty pink one! Thought UK meant from the United Kingdom.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Don't think it is possible to cross Ecuador Pink with the United Kingdom. LOL

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I sure wish someone would come up with a nice yellow versicolor. Has anyone worked on this yet?

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Brugie, I have been doing several yellow crosses. Creamsickle x Golden Lady, Tiara x Tropical Sunset, Cuba x Golden Lady. We will see----

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I sure hope you get a good veris yellow, but all of those crosses sound like they have good potential. Can't wait for another year to see what you get.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Very pretty Barb ... nice color.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Very pretty, Barb. I like the color.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes, lovely new pink!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It is very pretty Barbara. Congratulations!

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Brugie, I am pushing them with fertilizer in hopes they will bloom this year. We have several more months of growing season and I think there is a chance.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Barb, that makes me very envious. Several months more of growing season would be wonderful here, but I won't get it. Sure could use an extra month with the seedling bed.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but Brugie....how many of your seedlings have you seen bloom this year?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

So far Brinda, maybe five or six have bloomed. It is looking like I may not see most of them bloom at all. We need some heat again. This month may set a record for cool temps.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I also dont mean to hijack, but how do you cross to make a versicolor? I guess, what + what = versicolor?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Shelly, I don't even know what versi's are pure other than EP. Maybe Monika could tell us if it is even possible to get a yellow versi type bloom.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Beautiful shots, Bward.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Shelley, versicolor is a pure species, not a hybrid. versicolor x versicolor makes a versicolor-hybrid. A versicolor-hybrid always has to have two pure versicolor species for parents. The same goes for aurea and suaveolens.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Thank you Monika!
