Your gardens look great Jody! Love the tropical look and especially the tiki bar!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Great pictures Jody. I think I'll look into doing this when I can find enough time. I love your "Jody's Garden" stone in the pond pictures. Did you make it?

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Thanks everyone!

Cala, the bar is always open! ;)

Brugie, my sister made that stone for me :)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

She did a great job. Please tell her she does wonderful work.

Thanks Brugie, I'll let her know you think so :)

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Wow,I love the Wizard! and Ears And.... Well all of it!

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Thanks root! I HAD to have my "Nature Wanderer" (thats what they called him) when I saw him. I should take a pic of his feet. They are as cool as he is, his big toes curl up, LOL.

And the ears... well, I love them *almost* as much as hosta ;) I've got some others, just haven't gotten around to taking their individual pics.

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Fabulous jody, did you build the tiki bar, I just gotta have one for the isle? Very lush and tropical pics you've got.

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Thanks haighr!

My DH built the tiki bar out of plywood and laminate. I bought the roof last fall at a garden center, it was like 80% off :) We cut down and twined together the bamboo to put around it. It was pretty simple. I would imagine you could make your own roof. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time and my first thought when I saw this roof was for a tiki bar.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

Jody-WOW it all looks great!! i luv the tiki bar! You have some angels I have and the girl and cat stakes i got on ebay yrs ago and I luv that old dude with the cane!
That stone by the pond is really cool! WOW WOW

The flowers are just wonderful and the pond and........... it all looks great!
I see all your hosta's too!!!!! ;)

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Thanks Dori! Dontcha just love those little angels! My mom got them for me :)

Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Jody it was so nice to see your garden. I know after the flooding last year you must have worked hard all year to get it back. Really looks great. I just loved the tropical area and the daylilies.

Jody, your pictures are beautiful, but I especially love the pond pictures. I would love to have a pond like that. Also, where in the world did you find the little boy fishing? My 11 yr. old grandson loves to fish, and they have a large fountain in their front yard that has a raised pond around it with lotus and fish. I would love to find a statute like that for my daughter.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Your gardens look fabulous! Your Hostas, Daylilies, and tropical plants came through with flying colors, especially after dealing with last years Hurricane Isabel and the devatasting floods!! You've got healthy & colorful plants growing in your garden. Plus, your tropical tiki hut is an extra special touch next to your "fishin" pond!

Really enjoyed your on-line photo journal! Looking forward to seeing more pictures!!

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Thanks everyone!!!

haighr, thats not a bad looking roof. with a bar and some modifications it would look quite nice.

Dori, both bought and made the bar, see above post. And the GH is too much of a mess for pics, LOL. Well actually I've gotten it all cleaned out until fall now...

Delisa, I did work hard last fall and this spring, but not so much after the initial clean up and replacements. Just the "norm" :)

minig, I got that little boy at a local pond shop a couple of years ago. He reminds me of my nephew.

Shirley, you're welcome to come by and visit any time and see it in person instead of pics.

Well, there is a bar table and stools, but still not the tiki look, we will have to get some ideas on updating and restoration to get the authentic look like you have achieved!

Hi Jody, Do you have this ee. If not I'll try and get a root for you if you want it. Hey the hibiscus has really been beautiful this year. The pink just keeps blooming and then it'll bloom again. I can't remember the name of this ee but can find the name if you want it. Got it through a co op. Love you Jim

Hey Jim!!! No I don't have that one. I did but it didn't make it through the flood last year. If you have an extra I'd love one! I've still got something for you thats been waiting to be sent since spring *blush* LOL. I'll drop you a note. Hugs
