Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Bloomed in May,July,now August.
Is this normal? Or do the Southern Magnolias bloom that way ?
Never has bloomed 3 times in one season.

Wow, if that tree is 15 ft. tall, how tall is that banana? Sorry, I can't answer your ? about the magnolia.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Oh its only a couple of feet taller, that is goldfinger, huge leaves.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Tropicman, my magnolia must be 40-50 feet tall. She has been here much longer than I. She bloomed late for me, and some blooms open later than others. But she only blooms once a year for me. Did your buds form at the same time and then opened at different times?

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I think they budded at different times, for I was watching for the buds in April, when I saw the first ones, never saw the ones in july, like here only saw the blooms.

Don...my magnolia had a few blooms last fall...then bloomed again this spring. This is the second year for it. I thought that was strange too.

I think it is some of the weird weather patterns we are having.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

That is so weird cause as I was driving down a road today I saw what looks like a magnolia getting ready to bloom.......
I figured I was seeing things.....

Makes me think that all the cool rainy weather, the tree thought it has went through a mild winter and spring again.
