Do I have a brug problem ?

Pickens, SC(Zone 7a)

Purchased a brug from wholesaler last fall as Frosty Pink, it had a nice big light pink bloom and bloomed several more times before frost. I cut back to the y about 6 inches above ground and mulched well but plant died back and had to come up from the ground this year.

After waiting and waiting it is finally blooming. I'm frantic because the bloom sure doesnt look pink. Will it get pink or do I have a problem?

I think it will darken up for you. It may not happen with that particular bloom, but the subsequent blooms will start out yellow, turn white and then get the pink rim around the edges. I have three of them and they all do the same thing. Hope this is helpful :) Gretchen

I will 2nd Gretchen's experience. The flowers on my (not Frosty) pink brug start out creamy yellow, turn white, and then darken to pink as they open. In cooler weather the color is often not as intense. The weather in NC has been a little on the cool side for late summer recently; if you've had somewhat below normal temps in SC then that could cause your first blooms to be a little pale. If your plant was pink for you last year then it should get that same color this year too.
