Yay .. My first Dats

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

These were a mixed packet from mainfrog. I think he said they were assorted color Ballerina Datura. I've had a couple of these blooms already.
Now to find the names .

Caught this side shot of the last Dat as I was leaving the garden. Is this why they are called Ballerina?
Reminds me of a tu-tu .

Nice pictures. I'm almost daturaless this year. The two or three I have aren't growing well and I've given up on them. There is always next year.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Very pretty, Scooterbug.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Thanks y'all . Think I'll make room for more next year.

My garden smells like never before , with all the soft sweet smelling brugs and dats , the strong fragrance of the Clary Sage I got from MaVie and the strange odor from the Devil's Claw. Interesting ..............

I LOVE IT !

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

My Devil's Claw seeds didn't germinate this year so if you have extra seeds this year, could I trade you out of a few. please.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Okay, I'll bite....what is a Devil's Claw? Something I should be growing? LOL!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Ada. Gosh, that seed pod looks dangerous. LOL!

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

I used to pick them up as a kid in the desert around El Paso and just now know what they are. LOL

Now back to Dats .........

I don't think these are the ' Ballerina ' strain. they are over 4 ft. tall ...... prob closer to 5 ft.
