dang squirrels!

Seattle, WA(Zone 8a)

they're already foraging around my yard, and it's not even bulb season! looks like i'll ahve to buy chicken wire. Does anyone know where i can buy it? I've been looking at local hardware stores and i haven't seen any, just plastic netting.

thanks.

Farm supply stores will have it. I also see it at Lowe's and Home Depot.

I have a larger problem with my emerging bulbs this spring. Kangaroos are coming into the garden at night to graze and have developed a fondness for the fresh foliage of some of the bulbs. They love Sparaxis bulbifera, but we have those in plenty, but they have also taken a Lachenalia that we are growing for the first time, now gone without trace!

small problem for a small lot :)

kangaroos? how do you deal with something like that????

Churchill, Victoria, Australia(Zone 10a)

Well they mostly only graze on the grass, so they are usually not a problem. I have put guards around a few of my most treasures bulbs once I realised they were about.
