This was blooming about 6 weeks ago. It was new to the pond this year so I only got a couple of blooms from it. Should be a nice show next year :) I also added several other hardies this spring and can tell that I'll have to part with a few as they grow a bit more :( maybe I'll just find some interesting containers for them like my lotus.

Thanks Sue!
Ya know, I chuckle now when I think about going out in the last few inches of water in the yard and finding fish. LOL I never did replace any of the koi and have decided not to. Unless someday I get ambitous and expand the pond again heheh ;)
The pond has come a long way. It was pretty barren this spring. But I traded for a few things and someone sent me a box of pond plants out of the goodness of her heart. And the water hyacinths have to be thinned weekly. Now it looks like a jungle pond, LOL.
Yes! You need a lotus or 2 or 3... ;) None of mine survived the flood last year so I had to get new ones. And after having them last year there was no way I was going without out them this year.
I have 2 large ones. This one and Mrs Perry D Slocum. They are awsome. I have a couple of dwarfs too that I got this spring. Only one has bloomed so far, and it's the only one in the pond. The others are in containers such as above. I'm sure come spring or maybe this fall I can share some with you. They do multiply pretty well.
How about a pic of yours? Haven't seen you post any pond pics this year. You can see pics of mine in my journal. They go from May through July I think. It's neat to see how much the plants grew as they got added.
Ruby tha fall sure looks tropical and pleasing to the eye. You did great.
