It was just a year ago that my grouchy little "mud fence" SinCola - that's Spanish for "No Tail" - was bound and determined to MURDER that puppy that I had dared to bring into HER house! I literally had to get down on my hands and knees, with the puppy behind me, hissing and swatting at SinCola in order to stop her from stalking and attacking Darby. Boy, did she hate that puppy! And poor Darby was terrified of her.
And now look at them. They are the best of friends. Darby gives SinCola bathes, which is a good thing because she has become rather feeble, and has no teeth, so her grooming skills have suffered some. I love to watch them cuddle up together.
I would have been happy if they had tolerated each other. I'm just so thrilled that they care for each other as well.
