Another Brug Garden

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

I have a number of gardens in the property surrounding my building. This one I call the 'Front' garden since it is in front of my building. The photos do not show all of the brugs. There are 22 of them planted here. This is the front -left view

This is the view from the roof-top. The plumb tree and crabapple tree command the center of the garden. There are also Iris, galardia, black-eyed Susan, Purple cone flowers, peony, azaleas, rhododendrons and wisteria plants.

Great pictures. Do you have help or do you do all of this by yourself? It sure is nice and "no weeds".

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

I was able to get everything staked up before the high winds from our recent storms blew through. I used 200' of 1/2 in. rebar (used to reinforce concrete) plus some wooden stakes.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Neat as a pin! Very nice Padre. Did you get any blooms on your seedlings this year? Your plants look nice and healthy.

From time to time I get some help from students. Unfortunately they move on all too soon. This is one of my student help. He now goes to college in New Orleans.

Poppysue, I lost my seedlings due to my having to go away and the person who was to have watered them forgot :-( My cuttings faired much better. They had enough water to get them through the week. I still have a lot of seeds left and will start some more this winter.

What a beautiful sight. I know it is enjoyed by all. Great job. Linda

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

Linda, are you refering to the helper or the garden? LOL

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

LOL....I'm referring to the helper! I wouldn't get much gardening done if I had him around. I'd spend my time 'lookin'!

Very nice pics Padre! Your brugs are beautiful!

Foley, AL

Padre, what is the name of the white burg on the right in your first picture? That is awsome...

Padre: I LOVE your gardens!! I was just in NYC last week, we stayed at the Muse, lovely hotel, near the theater/restaurant district and we journeyed to Baldwin LI, for a wedding party. I was struck by the beauty, friendliness, it was clean and safe too. The city has done so much since I was last there and I love the 'landscaping', just too bad there were no brugs, LOL!!! However, yours are beautiful, thank you oh so much for sharing!!!!!!! SherryLike

Lovely gardens, you've done a great job.

Summerville, SC

Looks great,Padre! I must tell my mom to take a peek when she is in the area. Are all of your babies really gone? I remember how big they were in April...

No, Gwist. I lost the seedlings that were still in the germination flats, not the potted ones. The picture you have posted is of the cuttings and seedlings from a year ago. Many of those plants are in the gardens about the house.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Haha Padre. I was referring to the garden, and before my message was posted, the photo of 'helper' was posted. I'm sure that sight was enjoyed by all too. You have done a fantastic job with the gardens.

Biel, Switzerland(Zone 7a)
