Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Here is the Donna B Monster (except she is small) starting to bloom. She has several buds but this is the first one open.

How do you like the smell?? It's incredible isn't it?? She will double her size next year for you and by the 3 rd year she should be getting really huge for you if your growing season is long enough

How beautiful! My "DonnaB" is just starting to put out buds. There is one that may open in the next week or so, the rest are smaller. I thought I was doing something wrong, that there weren't blooms all summer like I'm getting with Isabella & Misty Valley pink, which are right beside her. Gee, the spider mites love this one. I finally broke down and used the systemic rose food/insecticide granules (3 in 1) on her.

What does it smell like? Is it describable?

I can't wait for mine, it's loaded with buds and had NO pest problems, unlike my many others. Donna told me it's scent is roselike! Should be opening in the next 2 days--for sure I'll report back :)

I don't have a Donna B Monster brug, but she looks like a nice bloomer.

She is a good grower , has a heavy rose scent that fills the yard, is a rapid grower, make Y's with lightening speed and is a heavy bloomer. Throw a piece on the ground and it roots. Gloria had gotten one not long before she passed wanting to work with it since she is so hardy. Monster brug is not a real name it is only used as a refrence as to what white suaveolens a person has. Parentage is uk and I was told I couldn't give it a legal name.
