We've had very cool/cold nights here.....coldest summer recorded since 1909. I find many of my water lilies are slow to bloom (if at all) this summer and even the pads are less than half the size they've been other years.

edited to say I'm sure glad I didn't purchase any tropical ones this summer!

Very pretty! We've had a weird summer too. Hardly any hot weather. This past winter was the first year I lost a waterlily. It was 3 or 4 years old... but this year it didn't come back.

Sounds like we both have had the same summer poppysue! :( I think we have only had about 10 hot days the rest have been just barely warm. Are the nights really cool where you are? Here we've felt like we've been sleeping in the mountains.

It is a worthwhile purchase Charlotteda. If you enjoy Helvola you will be pleased with this one as well.
