Plumeria seed, what do I do with them?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

My neighbor gave me two pods. Each pod has about 12 seeds in it. How do I plant them?

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

i have not planted plumeria seeds, i do not know Cala. check this site http://www.plumeria101.com/seeds101.html

Plant them with the "winged" end sticking up out of the soil (the actual seed just under the soil "nose" down). Keep them the usual "moist but not wet". It's cool - you know they are germinating when the "wings" start rising!

Yup thats what I did with the seeds I got off ebay, and all but 2 germinated
Course I killed most of the seedlings but thats just me....

Uh oh, I was supposed to leave those "wings" on them?

Here's a great link: http://www.plumeria101.com/seeds101.html

Calalily, I have had seed germinate with and without the wings......the wings do help in knowing how deep to plant the seed, and they act as a wick to help keep excess moisture from building around the germinating seed.
Do follow the info on plumeria101, and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Since the wings are off them, plant the seeds on edge just below surface. They need to be narrow edge up to germinate for some strange reason. :-)

OK, I will do better next time, lol. I'm going to go plant them now. I'll let you guys know how they do. They are seeds from a pink plumie.

I know you will do great Susie! Gosh if I can do it, anyone can. I made a mini greenhouse with a plastic container and lid, like I do with some of the brug seeds, one seedling sprouted 3 days after I planted it. Here are mine 3 weeks after I planted the seeds.
