*APB*APB*
LOL....watch out those in her path...:>)
You better get that camera ready,we may need pics for the poster!
Ooops, I lived off Hwy 90 between Beaumont and Houston.....better go hide my plants...lol...have a safe trip, justmeLisa..
LOL I hope you kids have fun! :)
we had a nice visit. (don't ask her how long it took for her to get her..grin) Her DH is a great guy, whose favorite saying is "Less is more" as he loaded up the van. I think he had visions of spending the rest of his vacation with shovel in hand..lol!
LouisianaSweetPea has picked the right name, that gal is one of the sweatest folks I've ever known. We think we might be twins seperated at birth..LOL! We had a fun evening laughing and petting critters and of course, digging up plants!
What a GREAT day!
Beautiful weather (for a change) and time spent with some of the nicest folks I have ever met!
Of course, we got lost on the way there and had to telephone for further directions.... I told Lisa that I was in the middle of nowhere surrounded by sugarcane. She said, "Surrounded by sugarcane? That could be ANYWHERE." LOL. Everyone with a two-by-four patch of ground has it planted in 'cane and there are huges fields of it everywhere. I mean everywhere. DH wouldn't stop to let me filch a couple of plants.
You fellow DGer's on the way there were safe..... I forgot to bring the shovel with me. You should have seen the 'ditch finds' on the side of the road! It was killing me that I didn't have a shovel.
Lisa is a wonderful hostess. We were invited to sit in her lovely, tropical-looking, and restful garden overshaded by large, spreading trees.... and then promptly told that she had seen TWO SNAKES there that morning!!! And that they climb trees!!! (Quick exit -- stage Left). Needless to say, I kept one eye out for the snakes for the rest of the visit. :D
Seriously though, we had a wonderful visit and Lisa, as usual, with her generous heart, loaded me up with great plants and homemade treats. What a haul! Felt like Christmas!
One of the best parts was getting to meet all of the critters! If she hadn't kept such a sharp eye on them, I would have loaded all of them into the van and taken them home with me!
I feel as if I've found a soulmate-sister in Lisa. What a treasure she is!
Hide da silverware!!!!! LOL Have a good , safe trip. Watch fo gators!
