Line Breaks?

What are line breaks? I am sending files to a client who is running Windows XP Professional with SP2. His e-mail rejects attachements with line breaks. Is that just a newline? It accepts batch files of one line but not two! Also it does not allow overwriting of existing files from an e-mail attachment. Grrr.

Since I am not there this is frustrating.
