Here is a pic of my new Chirita Hisako plant...it's just a baby and I will be repotting it in a few days. I can't wait for it to bloom! I like the interesting leaf pattern on this one very much. I believe the bloom is lavendar.

Wow! It's lovely. I have a couple of "similar" Chiritas - silver markings on the leaves - but they seriously need to be repotted. They are hating their current mix. I'm not sure that I can grow them well - we shall see.
What a sweet baby! I think one of my attractions to coleus is in the striking variations in colors; some are subtle, some just jump in your face. lol I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of these varigated AVs, though the 'plain' ones are just as captivating!
Thanks Key....this one is planted in what seems like mix of sand and seed starter mix. It does need a lot more humidity than the other plants I have in the house, so I have it sitting in a cup with gravel & water in the bottom.
It really has grown fast since then and no more curled edges, I hope it will bloom soon and of course I will post a pic.lol,
I have mine in a small 2 in pot and I am going to move it up to shallow pan pot and see how it does.

I have never heard of this plant. It is great foliage. I they something like AF to grow and what do the flowers look like?

I don't know what the flowers look like as I haven't seen it bloom yet, but I will share a pic when it does.It does grow much like an AV and the foliage is kinda soft & fuzzy .

Oh wow I have this plant ! Yours is wonderful ! I love mine I took half a dozen or more leaves off and set them to grow babies. They root real fast ! I will have pictures soon out of my camera of mine all in bloom. This is the greatest plant to grow ! Allison

Thanks to both of you for the nice compliments on my pic, but sorry to say this poor baby died from my "overwatering days"... it was beautiful and I was so sad. It had grown nice & large and one day I looked at it & it was a goner... oh well live & learn:)
I may replace it someday???

Thanks Deb... you know one of the things I loved about it was it's fuzzy leaf texture. My pics really don't do them justice as they almost sparkle .
I have at least half dozen leaves down with babies coming up ! You can have a new plant in the spring I'll be happy to send it too you :))
