Caladium ID please

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Once again I cruised the sale shelf at Homey-D's and found this for 1.50 . This scanned as an annual and it is in a 6 inch pot.
They suggested it might be a Caladium. , the leaves are heavy and waxy.
Any ideas ?

It is a Strap Leaf Caladium variety....either Red Frills or Red Ruffles.

Thanks vossner,
I am not real familiar with caladiums (except for an ill fated midnight internet shopping spree and $20 later , I now have a dead Bicolor Rubicundum Whaaaaaa )

A sucker born every minute , so they say . Did ya ever wonder who 'they' are ? . lol

I'm just amazed at the texture of Red Ruffles. Almost unreal.

Scooter...that is indeed a beauty! I've grown my first caladiums this summer, and I must admit, I think I'm hooked! They took a while to get started being as our spring was wet and cold. But I'm sure as heck going to try wintering the pots over, either as houseplants (WHEW! there's a LOT to find places for!) or lifting the bulbs/corms/tubers and replanting next spring. Either way, I'll try hard to remember to get them started REAL early. I've really enjoyed them.

Good luck with your new baby.
