Dianthus - Cherry Fountain Picotee

hiram, GA(Zone 7b)

I am drying theses seeds now. Perennial to zone 7. Fantastic dark red flowers with white edging. Hubby about killed me when he saw me throwing dried up seeds in the trash. These should be ready to mail in about mid-august. Looking for other perennial pinks, dianthus, sweet william, verbascum. This was a new introduction in Burpee's 2004 catalog.

Hi space

I have a new one (dianthus) called "heart attack" its very very dark red and the blooms are velvety looking.

Let me know if you would be interested!
Thanks Alice

Heck yeah, I"ve been ordered by DH to get all kinds. The ones I have a velvety, and the edges have the tiniest white trim. Real beauts! Ordered 6 plants from burpee in spring, and although they are still really small, they are still putting on 2-3 blooms a week.

Here's a pic of this flower. It's beautiful, and the texture looks like really rich, old-timey velvet.
