To those who didn't believe...

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

here is a side by side comparison of blooms from the same plant, six weeks between blooms. I decided to post this in response to an old thread

http://davesgarden.com/t/432582/

just to show that cultural/environmental practices will have an impact on the color of some brugs. Case in point, orange vs. yellow:

Who doesn't believe that Gretchen? Shoot in my yard, the color and shape of the same flower can change hour to hour!

PS Pretty pics!

Thanks Kell! I hope you have a nice evening :)

My Dr. Suess, is doing the same thing, except in reverse, first flush the blooms turned orange, this flush there all yellow, and the blooms are smaller. But this flush has a lot more blooms this go round. They have been open 3 days now, still waiting to see some orange. Cathy

Mine were that yellow this year also Gretchen. Great pics.

Thanks Cathy and Shelly. I find it very interesting how different the blooms can be from flush to flush...

Shoot, I haven't even found my Dr. Suess yet. I know he is out there someplace in that jungle. LOL! Very pretty.

Thanks, Shirley! I hope you find him... :)

Sue -- yes, all mine except for a couple are planted in the ground. A whole lot easier for me to take care of them, and the ones I plan to keep I'll have to take cuttings this Fall. This is one of my favorites. Thank you!
