How to keep a dry floor

Does anyone have a solution for keeping sloppy drinkers from soaking the floor? COrkie seems to chew her water rather than lap it. Don't know where she got this habit from, but she has always been that way.
When she is finished drinking and walks away, there is always a flood of water dripping from her mouth.
I put towels under the dish and around the dish, but this doesn't seem to put much of a difference in the mess.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas to offer. I will try just about anything.
She doesn't go outside that much so I can't put her dish out there. I do have a water dish out there but she needs pretty much water for her crystal forming problem. I don't want to limit her intake to just when she is outside.
