Marmot recipes?

Hi all,

I have a hoary marmot who has adopted my garden as a food source. Yesterday he mowed down all my second crop of peas and now he seems to be eyeing my newly planted cherry trees.

I hate to shoot something that I cannot eat. Does anyone have any experience eating marmot? Fix a stew like possum maybe? Or a paprikosh type of a recipe over noodles?

Alternatively I could try to find a live trap and transfer my problem to another part of town?
