Just asking, what exactly is the long green growth on this plant? I just purchased a cutting from one of these and it has been less than a month I already have a growth on the plant like it. Is it a flower or branching out? Thanks

Really? So soon after sticking it in cacti mix, I assume it is rooted then? Any idea how long it takes to bloom at this point? I am new and really finding this interesting! Thanks for any help.

Should take a couple of weeks to develop, but keep a close eye on it. It will bloom at night and close up in the morning a couple hours after the sun comes out. So you can photograph it in the early dawns' light. I'm guessing 5 or 6 am.
