I love the deep purple of this one.
passi incense blooms
What a beautiful shot there.. wow.
Very pretty picture!
Lisa,
That's not the new P. 'Incense' is it? Nice picture.
Hugo, I bought it as amethyst but was told after it bloomed that it was incense.
It looks like the new incense to me. Allspice they call it. Monterey would know. I think he has it.
Well, lets ask Monterey! Youhoo, where are you!!!!????
It does look like P. Incense. Check this link: http://www.kwekerijgommer.com/passiflora_foto's.asp
P. "Allpice" is still pretty new and hasn't been circulated much and doesn't quite have the same look: http://plantsdatabase.com/go/63291/
Clare would know too. Thanks for popping in Clare. And thanks for the links.
Yours looks like P. Incense to me too. Here is my P. Incense. I bought it from www.gkexoticplants.com . Mine is a little more purple than it shows in the picture, but nowhere near as purple as the picture posted by you, rylaff. I'm sure there can be environmental conditions that make differences in color and growth habits. I love just about any passiflora there is.
Those are very pretty, Shirley. The one thing that I noticed about "Allspice" is that it doesn't have the long wavy filiments that Incense has. Logee's is coming out with a new Incense that is supposed to be called "Inspiration" or something like that.
Here was mine before it started showing a virus:
She will always be one of the prettiest passiflora blooms there is. Mine is okay so far, but I'm keeping her away from any of the others, just in case.
Gorgeous ,all of them!
Makes me drool.....lol
I had to buy Incense, I work at a garden center, and it just kept calling to me! I potted it up in a nice pot and it has taken off, lots of buds and blooms. The one thing I noticed is that there are LOTS of petiole glands so lots of ants! But the blooms are worth it!
