A flush is when many flowers open at the same time. Some species and hybrids flower in distinguished flushes which means, they are without flowers in between. Others always have fewer flowers between two flushes.

Thank you, will each flush get bigger?

Yes!

Raleigh, NC(Zone 7b)

I think this is the same sort of behavior that is seen in different cultivars of roses. Which are the brug species that tend to bloom in flushes vs. those that bloom more regularly? I think I remember hearing somewhere that versicolors tend to have flushes.
