Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

All the man told me is it gets really big and it will take over. It looks just like our wild ditch taros growing all over, but it isn't, a little bit different. Can anyone help?

I've been wondering if Badseed's & Root's malanga were X. purpurea because they look like the X. purpurea variegata I've been seeing. If yours is showing a little variegation, I'd bet that is what it is. Here's a pic. I posted other pics in another thread: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/447237/

Rick, that is a nice one, but nope, not mine. The varigation on mine is ever so slight, green on green. Here is a close up

I had to look hard to see the pot! I thought that was planted in the roots. LOL

I have to get out today and get a new camera cord. Mine croaked and I can't download a thing! My melanga are waist high and I have not seen even the tiniest bit of variegation. I am still growing the one the good doc sent me last year, so it's got some age on it.

I agree it's Xanthosoma. I don't think it is sagittifolium, and it's not purpurea. I also agree that you three have the same. I'm no use after that. Maybe someone at aroid-L would know.
