Nice one Awanda, are the flowers as "drippy" as H. kerii and is there any name for this Hybrid yet?

Beautiful plant, Sis! You definately have the magic touch!

PanamonCreel, why do you think it is a hybrid? H. obovata is a good name. This is not a H. kerrii, it's center crown is darker almost a brownish maroon, wine color, and it really drips, I just gave one to my daughter last night. Bella has white flowers, and smaller more petite leaves. It also smells wonderfull. I guess that dripping necter attracts the bugs that pollinate them? Who is changing that name now?

Norma, read the title of the thread!

I'm sorry, I thought the way it was written that she meant she wasn't sure what species it was, H. obovata x kerrii is this what she means?
I read it again this morning and was going to call her. Thanks,
I thought she meant either or, I'm sorry Panamon, I'll try to be more careful next time. Norma

The flowers on this one doesn't drip like those of Kerrii. It has a very light smell to it, and the leaves are larger and stiffer than the Obovata. Norma don't worry about it, we all "mis-read", it's called "senior moments" :-)

No problem Norma, just shaking you awake :).
So I'll assume no published name for this Hybrid yet, correct?

Heck fire, Norma....My senior moments are turning into senior hours!
