Here's Maizie. She was lost in the Los Angeles area, turned up at the pound. Someone from Northern California found her at the pound with her first litter of puppies, rescued her and took her home to Mt. Shasta, California. She was passed around and finally came up in the paper. I drove 50 miles to see her and knew she was for me, brought her home and she is a love. She keeps the deer out of my orchard, she helps me herd my sheep and chickens and she is one heck of a guard dog. Plus, she is my very best friend. We spend a lot of time walking and swimming in the Sacramento River during the hot summers here! Thank goodness for recycled dogs!
