This is hibiscus tiliaceus or Mahoe tree.These are variegated and the new leaves start out deep pink or red..then change to a bronzy green with white stripes.Gets very big and blooms when older.I have a few to trade for rare or unusual tropicals or seeds of tropicals. Email me. Kyle

Shazbot...its tropical.....so probably zone 9- 11 outdoors all year...I grow them as indoor/summer outdoors plants.

Well, Kyle, it really is a very beautiful plant. If you have some left over, I could trade you a couple small pieces of Stapelia gigantea. Mine is still very small, but it has several nice sized pieces on it. I almost lost it due to neglect recently. I've been really ill all summer , and haven't taken very good care of my plants til recently. I just got this small cutting last summer. I'd be glad to share some with you for one of your cuttings. Thanks!

Cool plants Kyle. I didn't know they came variegated. We have three regular green ones along the driveway. They make huge trees down here and flower almost year round.
