High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Sue that's pretty. Which one is it?

Seattle Burbs, WA(Zone 8b)

I wish I knew Mystic - it seems like there are a lot of pinks out there. I'm pretty new to Brugs, but from what I can tell, it is some kind of suaveolens? I think that has to do with the shape of the flower? Anyhoo - I hope I can sort it all out with time! :)

Will check for a fragrance tonight also.

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Lovely flower Sue. Is it in the ground all year? Don't know if I should put mine in the ground or keep them in pots here as our weather is probably the same. Might have to do a little of each.

Seattle Burbs, WA(Zone 8b)

Hi Ballvenie - This is my first season growing Brugs. They will be put in the garage or greenhouse when frost hits. I have them in pots, sunk in the ground. I have a few more though, and might experiment with one against the house and mulched heavily this winter. But I haven't really decided on that one yet! What kind do you have?

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Looks great Sue! Congratulations!

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Sue, looks nice..it might be frosty pink or one of its siblings.. :-)

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Sue, I have the same weather as you. I left sangs out for the winter for the last 5 years. They always came back. They are the most cold tolerant. I also left out a few like Grimaldi because I had so many of them. They came back.
Remember last winter when we had those four nights of frigid cold? All perished. So I'd suggest that you try experimenting with one that you already have a backup on, you never know. Don't try it with a versicolor or an aurea, or a candida for that matter. They don't like much cold. All it takes is one exceptionally cold night and they're goners.
Winter? Can't believe I'm thinking winter!

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

So far they are:Enchanted X ? ; Whiskers X L'Amour ; Jois X BF; Lake Effects X ? and Lake Effects X Pink Beauty. All through the kindness of CC.Prior to her generosity I hadn't considered the possibility of growing brugs, but now they have replaced Meconopsis as a key interest.I guess this year I'll keep them in pots in the sunroom. BTW, Jois has the best germination capacity.

Thanks Shelly!

Eclipse - I have been looking at a lot of photos and this does look very much like frosty pink - it has a very light kind of lemony yellow color with the pink. I love it! I just went and smelled it and detected a slight fragrance, and very different from the white one I have.

Liz - Is this a suavolens that I have here? I think I might have two of this pink one, waiting for another to start blooming. :) OH, don't remind me of last winter - didn't it seem longer than any other? :)

And no, we should not be saying the W word...... lol......

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Sue, it's probably Frosty Pink. Although there are tons of Frosties under different names. The scent gets better later in the evening. Absorb every word Eclipse says, he knows his brugs.

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Sue, don't know if anyone else in the greater Seattle area is interested, but Stueber's greenhouse supply in Snohomish has the 20 gal. plastic pots for $5.00 each, as well as a heck of a lot more stuff.Need some Bat Guano? they've got it.

Seattle Burbs, WA(Zone 8b)

Good to know! Thanks balvenie

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

What a pretty flower Sue! I have had several different brugs bloom over the past few years, but this was my first year to have Frosty bloom! The flowers have been huge and it is getting ready to bloom again. I really like it!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

That is why they are the most popular grown brug! Easy and rewarding! I would like it also but there are lots of people here you grow it and they grow so huge. I can enjoy theirs, no need for me to have it.

I want some $5 - 20 gallon pots for $5. I pay more than that for 15 gallon.

Seattle Burbs, WA(Zone 8b)

Isn't it cool? :-D I got up early to go smell it. I love the fragrance. It was fully open too. I' m loving the Brugs. The tendrils on your Georgia Peach look great, how long are they?

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Im so excited for you Sue! Doesnt it make your heart dance to have these to smell?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sue, nice looking blooms. I have a couple that look very similar to yours and right now, I just want more and more blooms. So many have not bloomed yet.
