Cockatoo in need of a home

I thought I might put this out there for anyone interested. My vet. has ended up with an Umbrella Cockatoo that was basically abandond at her clinic. She has been there since Feburary and now the owner has given up her rights to the bird. She is very friendly and loving and in good health. I have two children 4 and 9 months and both have played with her and she has never tried to bite either one. I have thought of taking the bird myself but am not sure now is the right time for us. I believe my vet would like to try and recoupe some of what she has into her (but that is up for discussion). I really love this bird and would love to see her go to a great home where she will get a lot of attention. She is not getting the attention she needs now and I am afraid she will go nuts soon if she isn't placed in a home. Anyway, I live in the Atlanta area and would love to pass on any information if anyone is interested. I am going on Monday to drop my cat off and would be glad to get a picture of her and post it.
