Keeping frogs OUT of pond?

Orlando, FL(Zone 9b)

I have a problem with Cuban treefrogs invading my pond. Unfortunately, they are non-native and eat the little native green treefrogs around here. Everytime it rains, we get masses of frog eggs, and since my "ponds" are a half barrel and 2 large pots, the tadpoles chow down on my plants. I've tried catching the parents (the neighbors think I'm crazy, outside at 3 a.m.!), but more keep coming, probably from the retention pond down the street. So, with all that said, does anyone have any ideas how to keep frogs OUT of a pond?

Good luck to you.....I'm trying to get some IN my pond. LOL

RB, if they weren't invasive, I would gladly send you a couple hundred! When I went outside this morning, there were more eggs in the 2 smaller containers. These tadpoles hatch really quickly (less than a day), so I've been scooping them into the goldfish pond. My goldfish are VERY happy with having the frogs around! Good luck finding some tadpoles.

I understand that you are not ANTI frog. These are non natives. You have my sympathy.

Oh, I hope I haven't offended anyone. I am definitely not anti-frog! As ugly as these Cuban treefrogs are, and as many cute green treefrogs as they eat, they're just doing what nature intended for them to do. I just don't want them in MY pond. But I guess I just need to learn to live with them.
