Before and After Pond Construction Slideshow

Wow! That is some pond. I thought our pond liner was big, heavy and awkward, I bet yours was a real bear. Do you have lighting in your pond? I like the pictures that show your landscaping along side the pond also. If you have a biofilter and skimmer, how did you landscape around it?

New Orleans, LA

It was a pond that we helped build. Yes there is some lighting in the pond, not over done though. The pond has a sizable bog which provides the majority of filtration, and two BIOFALLS which are hidden by rock and an earthen berm and a few plants to provide ground cover.

That pond is amazing! The rocks are gigantic. We had a hard time moving our size rocks, let alone those boulders! I bet the air is even cooler by it with the size of it. I love that feeling. I would like to add just a little lighting to my pond. Accent the falls and under the bridge. I haven't a clue what size lights to get.

How beautiful!
How many gallons of water has this pond and what is it's deepest point?

My reasons for asking are that my biggest pond is 5500 gals and its deepest point is 4.5 feet. This assures me my Koi can survive the colder winters here in Montana..

I am thinking of building another pond very similar to this and would love to have some of the statistics.

Will leaves from those trees cause any problems for the pond?

Wish I could just bring that pond up here.....it is lovely!
