What is wrong with this seedling

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

This is one of Susie's Rosamond x RK seedlings, I only got one seed to germinate, so hate to lose this one, but am thinking it may need to be tossed. Looks like it may be virused or something. I have cut it back and it keeps growing back like this.

New leaves look normal at first, this is newer growth.

That is weird. The mottling is so even, but it still looks like a virus or something. Of course, it could be a nutrient deficiency, but to be safe, have it tested at the local ag extension office if you want to be sure.

I'll try that. I took some stuff to them once and never heard a word back from them. Maybe they will do it right this time.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I have some of my older brugs(Butterfly) doing this. We have had lots of rain, then 60's, then 80+. I am not worrying about this, as it has happened before, mine grow out of it when summer stays put. Can't say yours is the same thing tho'........

Mary, I'm with Hibiscus, I'm not too concerned about unusual leaves and discoloration because of the persistent rains. Now that the monsoons seem to have stopped, the leaves, buds, blossoms, just about everything is looking better, since the weather has become more normal. Of course, I have no way of knowing if that might be the cause of your problem. Good luck and I'd love to know if you find an answer...
