Just found this great site a few weeks ago and I loved it so much I had to subscribe! I'm very new to gardening - planted my first bulbs last fall - and I'm anxious to learn all I can. So far, I'm fascinated with lilies, daylilies, hibiscus, and hollyhock, but I find more plants everyday that I want to add! I suppose that's a gardener's downfall - too many plants and not enough space! It's good to be here. :)

Hello from Nevada, Iowa
You'll want to check out all the ones that get planted in the fall for bursting forth in the spring. That'll hook ya good. My garden has mostly the standard stuff, but the wish list this summer has widened due to me joining DG and seeing how others put their yards together.
Warning!! Daves can be addictive. WELCOME ~Blooms
Welcome. Lana! You'll grow to love it here more as flowers and friends develop.
Strange named town you live in... a state in a state??
LOL darius - I hear that a lot from people who aren't from Iowa. It's actually pronounced differently than the state though - Ne-VAY-da :)
Blooms - thanks for the heads-up but I think it's already too late for me! lol :)
Lana
welcome aboard and enjoy yourself

Welcome from this old lady in AZ...I met a lot of our great Iowa people when I went to te Round Up in May...you should look for the thread (in Round Up Forum) and get your name in for the one next year. Great fun! Jo
Welcome Lana. It is good to see another member here from Iowa. We are beginning to get some good numbers from our state. For a while, it was two or three. Our roundup shows that we have grown a lot since last year even. Hope you enjoy your time here and maybe even visit in DM with us next year for the annual Daves Garden Round-Up.
Welcome from Oklahoma!!! I love this site, too.
Welcome from another Iowan. This site is very addictive. It is like my second home. You will have to attend the Ia. Roundup next May in Des Moines. Couldn't meet up with a nicer bunch of people.
Welcome to the Garden Lana,
We're so happy you're here. So many of us Iowans love to garden, and this is the perfect spot to learn from good people who know gardening. So fill up your cup, pull up your chair, and Welcome
to the table in Dave's Garden. Lots of good conversations going on here.
